Campus Book Rentals

These kinds of books are fun.  Even though they are worth nothing...I can still decorate with them.

Textbooks aren't quite the same.  We have several boxes of them in the garage that are also worth nothing...but if I decorated with them it would probably stress me out seeing them.  Seriously.

Campusbookrentals.com contacted me last May to do a review of their services and again recently.  On this past post, you can see how much money my friend saved on a textbook I had previously just bought.  I was a fan because shipping was free both ways and my friend ended up having a great experience with the company.

Campusbookrentals.com now has another program called Rentback so students can sell textbooks they own to other students several times.  Personally, this would have been nice because there was a textbook I had purchased in my undergrad and then sold.  I ended up having to buy the book back at the same price for graduate classes and then...sold it back.  I'm not sure how much money I probably lost in that process, but renting it to other students would have helped.

You can see a video of how it works here.

This is a sponsored post from campusbookrentals.com, but the opinions are 100% mine.

I guess that was one of the perks of being an English major. No real textbooks - just novels. I've got them all on display on my bookshelves.

I buy old books at DI because I think they are beautiful. I usually read them, then put them on display somewhere. I'm envious- those are lovely.

That's cool that you can rent them out to other students. That's smart. I try to buy and sell all my husbands books on amazon since you have so many people looking and selling all the time.

What a great idea, wish I was still in school so I could use it!
